NO.

IDK man… I feel like Han got friendzoned by Leia pretty for serious, acts pretty generally like an arrogant SOB, and actually the fact that they wind up together in VI is one of my least favorite things about Star Wars.

…Which is to say, feel like he ‘validates’ the use of more aggressive tactics to “overcome” the friendzone — in the end, is ‘rewarded’. And that’s just not cool.

This is in fact not that different from a true story from my life.

How was I supposed to know that getting dinner a few times at the foodcourt or asking me over to watch…gosh, I can’t even remember, Star Wars?…which btw we never wound up even seeing… meant some kind of not-friend-only interest? I mean I totally thought we were friends. But after I told him I’d started seeing someone (again, at dinner at the foodcourt) he stopped returning my emails to hang out. Awkward.

Yeah I got to look into this whole mammoth thing.

ETA Then again it was undergrad, a time when many people are known for knowing jack all about socializing normally. …But still.
